A couple of weeks ago, a local high school had a "Stemposium" to showcase fun activities related to the STEM program. We decided to give it a try.
The kids built a skeleton out of cardboard.
My favorite part was one I didn't take a picture of - the chemistry demo. They watched how to make toothpaste and created artwork with shaving cream and food coloring. (We may do that one at home.) They floated boats made out of water bottles and aluminum cans.
Played four square (not sure what that has to do with STEM, but it was their favorite part).
They drove robots.
The following Monday, we cheered the Clemson Tigers on to the National Championship. Both of the kids have become Clemson fans and Baylie says she wants to go there. We'll see!
