The evening of July 4, we met Erik and Shanelle's family for a hot air balloon display.
It was a perfect evening with wonderful weather.
The light the balloons to the sound of music. Unfortunately, the wind didn't allow them to put on the envelopes. It would have looked cooler with them, but it was still pretty cool.
The next morning, we woke up early to go watch the balloons lift off. We almost talked ourselves out of it because we were so tired, but it was definitely worth it and we were all so glad we went. It was an amazing experience.
The size and colors were incredible.
Jalen's favorite balloon!
This one was very emotional.
Such a cool point of view.
We went to Patriot Days with Erik's family one day and then went back with Grammy and Grandad because it was cool and we wanted them to see it. The booths and displays were fantastic.

This is a replica of the flag flown over Fort Moultrie in South Carolina. It was cool to see it in Utah.
I think some of these people travel all over the country for these types of events.

We had such a wonderful visit and it was hard to go home. We're always happy to get back home, but I'm always so homesick to leave family. I can't wait to see my parents again.
