We have been trying to adopt for about three years. We started wtih LDS Family Services, but that has been very frustrating and unfruitful. A few months ago we started with a new agency, Heart and Soul adoptions. We got a call a couple of weeks ago telling us they had a baby for us. We were through the roof excited, ran out and bought last-minute supplies, packed our bags and only then found out we didn't have all our paperwork ready. It was devastating. In the end, it was for the best since the birth father later changed his mind.
Today we received another call. We have been matched with a birth mother that should deliver around March 20. We're excited and nervous. It's hard not to get our hopes up, but we also don't want to get heartbroken again. We still don't know if the baby is a girl or a boy - and actually we'll love either one!
