Choo-Choo

Yesterday we had planned to take Daddy to the zoo. Unfortunately, it was raining and was predicted to rain all morning. So instead we headed to the library for story time. When we got out of the library, the sun had come out so we decided to check out the downtown Children's Fair. After recovering from sticker shock over the cost of all the rides, we headed across the street to the free AMROC (Associated Model Railroads of Columbia) displays.
I have always enjoyed model trains - my mom always has one around the Christmas tree, but these people are CRAZY about trains. They had so many trains in all different sizes and with every kind of scenery set up you can imagine. I loved this one that had a retro McDonald's advertising 15 cent hamburgers. I tried to catch the steam coming from the train, but you can't see it. (I forgot my camera and we had to use David's phone.)
I think the kids' favorite trains were the wooden ones they played with.
Afterwards, we went to Chick-fil-A for lunch (a treat for us since we never eat out - even fast food). David and Baylie had a blast with the fun house mirrors.
