Things just keep happening at full speed around here. We are having so much fun with family and I'm exhausted! This past weekend was huge. On Thursday, we headed down to the San Rafael triathlon in Huntington, Utah. Huntington is just outside of Price and let's face it, Price is ugly. I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised to see how beautiful Hungtington State Park was. It was a perfect camping spot. We even got to pitch our tent on grass!
Right by a reservoir! The kids immediately headed to the water. Jalen found his own way to get warm - laying on warm concrete.
Followed by a snuggle in faux fur.
Sleeping under the stars. (Can you find Baylie?)
Sweet tunes.
David paddle boarding.
Inflatable slide.
After playing Thursday and Friday, we were ready for Saturday's triathlon. For more specifics about how I ended up competing, you can READ HERE on my weight loss blog.

My brother, Erik, was one of the first men out of the water.
My brother, Clark, followed shortly thereafter.
Erik held him off until halfway through the bike leg, but then Clark was able to pass him.
They both finished the race accompanied by their kids. Clark ended up placing first overall among the men.And Erik was second. (Erik was first in his age group, but the results weren't divided that way at this race.)
As for our team, Shanelle was absolutely amazing on the bike and passed tons of people.
David built on that and finished strong, despite running in wind, rain and hail.
We were shocked to learn that our little team took third place! Not bad for first-timers!These three little boys were inseparable and had a blast.
These boys are just plain goofy - but I sure love them.
The triathlon was an amazing experience and the kids absolutely loved the campsite. We may return and do it again next year.
Today, Shanelle and I took our kids to the Provo Rec Center. What an amazing place! It was kind of chilly, so we decided to stay inside.
There was a huge shallow play area...
...two waterslides that curved from inside to outside of the building and back in again...
...a rock wall with waterfalls...
...a spot for cliff diving...
...and a lazy river. It was fantastic! And it was only $4 per child and $5 per adult to get in. The three-month family membership is only $167 and it includes the entire rec center. It costs almost $400 for a summer membership to a pool in South Carolina that doesn't even include all the fun stuff or fitness extras.
Here are a few photos from previous events that I wanted to add to the blog.

Jalen actually fell asleep in the Pleasant Grove pool. Fortunately, I noticed he was nodding off and got to him before it was too late. |
