Leaves! Glorious Leaves!

One of the things we love most about our house is the huge yard. It is AWESOME! This awesome yard is full of huge trees, which means there are a LOT of leaves. Add that to the fact that the yard hasn't been raked for a very long time and we had a HUMONGOUS job ahead of us.

The missionaries came and helped us get started on Saturday morning. We were so grateful for their help.
We continued on our own and since David had to do PACE homework, I ended up finishing it by myself. It was 8-9 hours of raking!
The yard is full of these pretty berries, which I'm pretty sure are poisonous. We also have lots of thorny vines spreading across the yard. There is a lot of work to be done in the yard.
The next day was Sunday and then it was Christmas Eve and Christmas, so it was Wednesday before we could get to the bagging of the leaves.
The whole family pitched in and worked very hard for several hours.
There were so many leaves!
Tashi was a big help (NOT!). Look how dirty she is!!
David hauled the bags to the curb.
And the kids hauled the bags on a garden cart. I couldn't help with this part because of my back and knee.
Lots of bags.
In the end, we had 89 bags of leaves!! Crazy!
We were all pretty exhausted!
Today - Thursday - we moved stuff from the garage to the shed. We have a really nice shed in the backyard. The garage seems so big now.

We love this house so much! It is perfect for us. We know Heavenly Father found it for us. (With the help of our awesome friend April Alsup.)
