Grandparents Gone Wild

My dad had a conference in Atlanta last week, so he and my mom took advantage of the opportunity to take a side trip and visit us. Baylie and I have been looking forward to their visit for weeks. Every day last week Baylie would ask if she could go to Grammy's house. Baylie couldn't wait to take Grammy and Grandad to the zoo.

Once we got there, she made sure we knew where we were going.

Grammy and Grandad got to feed the giraffes. Baylie still won't do it, but she loves vigorously washing her hands as if she had.

Grammy and Grandad also fed the lorikeets. Baylie wouldn't even go through the door. She's still a little freaked out by them.

Grammy and Grandad saw the lowland gorilla. Baylie did venture to see him this time, but she didn't last long. Thank goodness since he charged the glass and made the little kids that were there scream and run. Glad she missed that demonstration!

Baylie loved showing Grammy the carousel. They rode it twice.

As usual, Jalen just chilled out in the stroller most of the day. Sometimes I worry that he's going to think the zoo is just plants and fences since that's probably most of what he sees.

We had a great visit with Grammy and Grandad and we miss them now that they're gone. Baylie is still asking for them every day. Christmas seems awfully far away!
