Happy First Birthday, Jalen!

Our little guy is one year old today! (Amazing that one year ago today we didn't even know about him.) We got out the camera to take pictures and the battery was dead. After fruitless trips to Wal Mart and Publix, I just took a picture with my phone. He loves his little activity table, which was very hard to find. I don't know if they make them anymore, but it is the coolest toy ever!

Here are some facts about this cute little man.

• He started walking a month ago.
• He has 12 teeth.
• He has a deep, rumbly laugh that comes from his belly.
• He is very cuddly.
• When he holds a stuffed animal or bear, he will rock back and forth and then bounce, just like a daddy.
• He loves dancing, singing and music; he has great rhythm.
• He loves to read (and eat) books.
• He loves his sister and wants to do whatever she is doing.
• He can say "ma-ma" and "dad-dy."
• He throws big tantrums, flinging his whole body backwards whether sitting or standing.
• He uses his head as a battering ram.
• He's humongous.
• He loves to sleep with a little green blanket that has a bear head on it. He has a hard time sleeping without it and will try to steal it from his crib during the day.
• He is not sold on the sippy cup, or whole milk.
• He is the little boy I have dreamed of having from the time I was a little girl.
