Freedom Run and the 4th of July

The morning we headed to Blanding, I went outside and saw a hot air balloon that I thought was going to hit the roof across the street. Instead, it landed on the front lawn.
My mom even went out in her bathrobe to check it out! Jalen wore nothing but a night shirt.
They ended up moving it until it stopped right in front of our house.
Then they deflated it and put it away.
It was really cool to watch.
We woke up early on the 4th of July to participate in the Freedom Run. This year I only did the mile run. It was pretty easy, but I wanted to stay with my mom and kids. When we finished the mile, we waited for the 5Kers.
The kids ran across with Uncle Scotty when he finished the 10K.
And then they crossed again with Grandad.
We had great family representation. The four of us were joined by my brother Scott and his family, my sister Tiffani and her family and my parents. It was great to all be together.
Me with my sister-in-law Beth and my sister Tiffani. Later that day we found out Beth was pregnant. We thought we were all finished with grandkids in our family so this was an exciting surprise! (It's a girl!)
Hopefully we can make this an annual tradition.
These girls are all within a year of each other and are great friends. Baylie is about six months younger than the twins (middle) and six months older than Ava.
We have crazy kids in this family.
Later that day, we met at Scotty's house for a 4th of July picnic. Like last year, we rented a dunking booth. Baylie was the first one up. And she went back over and over again.
You can tell it's cold!
Even my dad got dunked after a lot of trash talking at the ball throwers.
Boys and sno cones.
My brother took an ugly old shed and turned it into this cute thing.
We also had this awesome water slide thing. The kids had a blast all afternoon.
I love y family and I love this country. It was a great way to spend the day.
