Pink Dress
As you might know from previous posts, I love to have Baylie wear dresses that I wore as a little girl. So here's a special treat. This pink crocheted dress was first worn by my mom, then by me, by my sister Tiffani, then by her twins Lauryn and Clara and now by Baylie.

Seventh Heaven
Today is our 7th anniversary!
I’m so lucky to be married to David W. Batchelor. My husband is a remarkable person. Here are some of the things I love most about David:
- He stands up to me when needed
- He is sensitive and kind
- He never entirely loses his patience
- He’s a good kisser (seriously, really good)
- He is always the first to say he’s sorry
- He is a kid magnet
- He makes me laugh
- He always makes up goofy songs about everything
- He's willing to rub my feet and brush my hair (prerequisites to my agreeing to marry him)
Just so you don’t think I’m the only one who says he’s awesome, here are some of my favorite things that other people have said about David (most are paraphrased).
- When preparing for the Father and Son’s campout in my parent’s ward, the bishop’s son asked his dad “Is that guy who used to lead the music going to be there?” When his dad explained that David wouldn’t be there, the boy was disappointed explaining that David played with them the previous year and made the whole campout fun. I think it's amazing that a year later this young man still remembered David, someone he barely knew.
- “Well now there’s one more thing that makes your husband awesome.” A friend told me this after hearing David sing at church.
- “There goes a man in whom there is no guile.” I overheard someone at church in Houston say this about David. It is taken from Christ’s statement about Nathaniel.
- “He is the most reliable person in our Elder’s Quorum.” Member of the Elder’s Quorum presidency (The Elder’s Quorum is one of the men’s organizations in our church – David teaches the group one Sunday each month).
- “This is a young man who is going to go places.” One of David’s professors at University of Houston to the rest of the class (this one was related to me by David).
- "But where's Uncle David?" Any of my neices or nephews when I show up without him.
- "Look, there's the singing daddy." A little girl in our ward in Houston.
People are always commenting on how likeable David is. He's so easy-going and fun to be around. I'm glad I get to be around him for the rest of my life.
I love you, Babe!

Great Video - Trust in the Lord
Check out this video. The mom in this video, Jenn, is one of my friends from our transracial playgroup. Her video is also featured on the LDS church's youtube website http://www.youtube.com/mormonmessages. Baylie and her little boy, Liam, are cute friends.
