Eudora Farms - January 2023

In January, Eudora Wildlife Safari Park offered free entry to homeschoolers. The Baileys had never been so we all took a trip together. As usual, it did not disappoint!

The Scottish cows are always a favorite.

Brahma bull
The watusi are always impressive with those humongous horns.
Jalen and Bailey rode in the Bailey's van and I followed behind in my car - all by myself! It was quite enjoyable and quiet!

Baylie feeding an auodad.
David had tested positive for COVID, so we had to wear masks. That was another nice thing about being alone, I didn't have to wear one.
Out the sun roof!
Baylie, Kaitlyn, Allee, Jalen, and Carolyn.
Camel time!
Well hello there!
We are advised not to feed the zebras because they can be aggressive.
But they're so cute! (I think Carolyn took most of these close ups.)
What magnificent animals.
Water buffalo
Yak - another one I think is so cute.
Skeptical llama
Addax
Ostritch - they are pushy!
Alpaca
Just a cow??
It was a super fun day with sweet friends.

Jalen's 13th

For some reason, I did not get many pictures of Jalen's 13th birthday. But, he is officially a TEENAGER!!

He had some friends (and the missionaries) over for a Nerf party.
He got a big present!
It was a gaming chair!!
He loved it! (But was sad that he was still grounded from the PS4.)
Hamilton Rutherford, Colton Abston, and Jalen. Tough guys.
It's a battle!

We had different Nerf target games, but I didn't get pictures of any of them! Everybody decorated their own cupcakes.

SC Governor Inauguration 2023

Baylie's choir was one of two schools invited to sing at the governor's inauguration. What an honor! We decided to make it a homeschool field trip together with the Bailey family. (I know, Baylie and Baileys. Confusing.)

Beth Bailey is definitely a kindred spirit. She has made my transition to homeschooling so smooth. I honestly don't know how I would have done it without her. I wouldn't have even known where to start.
Baylie is on the front row, far left.
She could even be seen on the news!
Such a cool experience.
Congressman Lindsay Graham
While I am not a fan of the governor, it was still a cool experience to witness and for Baylie to be a part of.
