House Painting Projects

Last month, someone gave us a piano. It sounds like a simple thing. But there was a bit of a catch - of our own making. Our "conservatory" is one of the two rooms (our bedroom being the other) that we didn't paint during COVID. It's walls were kind of gross. I figured if we were going to have to rearrange everything anyway, we might as well take advantage of the opportunity to paint!

Plus, our ceiling still looked awful from the leak we had a couple of years ago. That has bothered me every since.
We decided to paint the conservatory red and gray.
We absolutely love the way it turned out.
And since we were going to be painting anyway, it only made sense to FINALLY paint the shutters. I've wanted to do that ever since we moved into this house. They were in terrible shape and I didn't like the color. We experimented with a couple of darker blues.
We painted the front door to match. I've wanted to do that for a long time too.
Jalen and I painted the porch swing to match the shutters and door.
He also helped me paint the mailbox.
Check out that beautiful door!
I took some extra red paint and painted the garage door. It's so cute. It makes me happy every time I come in the house.
We moved Gigi's painting to a new spot where more people will see it. It goes so perfectly with the Murano vase.
I took advantage of the opportunity to paint some kitchen floorboards that were pretty scuffed up.
Then I painted inside the kitchen doors.
The blue chairs clashed with the new shutters, so Jalen and I spray painted them red.
I absolutely love how everything turned out. Driving up to the house makes me so happy now.
Next step - the eaves and porch! Hopefully next weekend!
