Moving to South Carolina - Day 1

We had so much help moving this morning that the van was completely loaded by about 10:30 a.m. (we started at 9:00). Not only that, we had lots of cleaning help too. We live in an amazing neighborhood and we are going to miss our friends and family so much.

Since we finished earlier than planned, we decided to head out today. I went and put Baylie down for a nap - she and Jalen are staying with my mom - and David and I hit the road at about 2:30.

This is what the GPS showed: 2,127 miles.

As we drove across Wyoming, this is also what the GPS showed under items of interest.

Wyoming is beautiful, but the southern border is pretty barren, plus it seems like everyone off I-80 lives in a trailer. We stopped a little after 8:30 p.m. and are spending the night in Rawlings, Wyoming. We got to Skype with Baylie, which was great. Technology is amazing. I miss my kids and hope they are okay. I'm trying not to be terrified that my mom is taking them swimming tomorrow.

I should note that my 7-year-old nephew is apalled, as he told me, "You left your new born baby!" He told his mother that I left behind my "infant son." She tried to explain that I'm coming back for Jalen, but I don't think he's convinced.

Note: Photos were NOT taken with my iPhone or sent via my Blackberry.
