Fall Fun

I am sooooo behind on our blog, but I decided I better hurry and blog about Halloween since we're currently on a quick trip that will require it's own post.

Jalen and I kicked off the holidays by going to a corn maze with some friends. We didn't actually enter the maze, but we still had a ton of fun. I sometimes feel badly that I don't do as much with Jalen now that Baylie is in school, but I really do enjoy having some one on one time with him.

Sand scooping

Driving the tractor

and the other tractor

New milking method

Beating the pots and pans (with a running start)

Duck races
Camera shy

I love this kid!!
Worn out
In South Carolina, we can't carve our pumpkins until the last minute because they only last a couple of days once they've been carved. Our kids love helping daddy carve the pumpkins.
A little too enthusiastic?
Trying to look happy about scooping the guts when really she's grossed out.

Okay, Daddy. Now cut it! (I am always amazed at how David cuts their drawings.)

Happy with the final results!
As usual, we went with the family theme for Halloween. I can't remember who was first to make the request for the Peter Pan theme - Baylie or Jalen. (Whoops, based on the pumpkins, I have posted these photos in the wrong order.)
For most of my adult life, I have lived far from family. Consequently, I love the fact that my cousin has moved only about an hour away. She and her family came to go to our ward's Trunk or Treat party with us. The kids are enjoying getting to know new cousins. (Jalen insists on calling his cousin Nash "Dash".)
I love fall - not Halloween - but definitely fall!
