There are so many things I love about Columbia and near the top of the list is our zoo. It is a great little zoo. I especially love that it's close enough for us to go anytime. The other day we decided to go after we picked Baylie up from school. We knew we'd only have an hour, but we still had a fun time of it.
One of my favorite areas is the penguins. They stink to high heaven, but I love watching them. It always reminds me of my time in Argentina where we had live penguins.
I also love the gorillas. We were late in the day so they were getting ready to be fed and put away. When we first got there, this guy came right up to the glass - probably thought we were going to feed them - but I didn't get my camera out in time.

The zoo is under a lot of construction, but it's going to be even better than ever - they're adding otters, seals, sea lions and a bigger grizzly exhibit. It will be amazing.
UDPATE - I had to add some pictures from a recent trip to the zoo. Usually the gorilla has his back to us, but this time the gorilla was face to face with Jalen. It was pretty amazing.
Baylie wanted in on the action, but she was VERY nervous about it.
