I've mentioned before that we have the best zoo. We love it! It will be even better when the updates are completed: Children's Activity Garden, Bears & Otters, and Seals & Sea Lions. I hope we still live here to see those completed.
Wednesday was an early out day, so we took Baylie's classmate to the zoo with us.
We took the little walk from the garden to the zoo. We always park on the garden side when it's going to be crowded because we can park closer and the kids like to take the walk and ride the tram back. The walk goes by the ruins of a confederate textile mill on the banks of the Saluda River. It's so cool!
Pony Riders
Hopping the train.
Icees and lizards.
Elephants.
Giraffes.
Natural frames.
And in keeping with the jungle theme, HERE is a video of the first grader's jungle program. They were so cute. Baylie is on the second from back row right under the jungle sign in a red t-shirt. (She's also the one stealing the show on the side of the stage later on.)
