Award Winners

The Batchelor kids have been on a roll lately. Baylie made the honor roll for the 7th time in a row. She has been on the all A honor roll for five of those times, including this one. She is a diligent student and works really hard.
I am grateful that she has good friends, classmates and an amazing principal - who sadly is leaving us next year to go to the district office.
The morning after the honor roll, she was recognized for her participation in her school's leadership and service club - I Am Gold. She has gotten to school early every Wednesday to participate in this group. It is led by some of the fantastic teachers at her school. We are so blessed to have our kids go there.
Jalen also was on a winning streak. He was the grand champion at the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby.
He was very excited during the races and he went undefeated, which was amazing because it was his first time in the derby.
He did a victory dance, which I should have video taped.
The participants were awarded with spark plug medals. Jalen won the golden spark plug.
Jalen's best friend, Ian, took second place. These two boys have been best friends since they were six months old.
There was also an open division. I loved this car.
Cub Scout cars - Jalen's is the one on the front row right side.
Freestyle cars. Loved the hoagie.
