This has been a strange Easter. We're confined to home because of the Coronavirus. We bought Easter candy through Target pick up and suckers online. I thought Easter was last Sunday until last Friday. My days are so mixed up. But on the other hand, it has been beautiful to focus on the Savior and on our family as the rest of life has slowed down so much. The things that are the most important have risen to the top. Maybe it has taken a pandemic for God to remind us of what really matters.
My sweet friend April made us this palm adornment to remember Christ during this season.
We decorated our eggs outside. We use food coloring and vinegar. We no longer buy kits.I have wanted to buy The Eggmazing Egg Decorator for a couple years now and finally got one this year. It was so fun!! Completely addictive and I didn't end up with dye up to my elbows. I didn't want to share it with anyone.
But I did!
As usual, David was still working diligently long after the rest of us were finished.
The kids planted jelly beans and in the morning, they had grown into suckers. Jalen was very excited! He had talked about it over and over and made sure we didn't forget.I'm so glad the kids still get excited about hunting for eggs. We couldn't find one, but fortunately found it that afternoon. It's cold enough that it didn't really matter that it sat out.
Some are more excited than others.
Our Easter dinner was simple, but yummy.
My favorite part of Easter was having a special Sunday meeting with the Bayles family where we talked about conference and testified of Christ. I love my family. I miss them, but I feel like we are connecting now more than ever.
