Summer Adventures

We had a very short amount of time between when school got out and the kids and I left for Utah. We decided to pack it as full as possible. (We didn't get out of school until June 18th because of COVID!

We met the Alsups at Saluda Shoals for a Drive In movie.

We celebrated my friend Jessie's brithday. (April, Michelle, Yasmin, Jessie, me, Esther)

Some of the Spanish teachers got together for dinner. I will really miss working with them. (Dianne, Keila, Evelyn, me)
We went to Stars & Strikes to celebrate the end of the school year. We discovered that we could play unlimited games for $12!
Then we returned to Stars & Strikes only to discover that the unlimited games are only on Tuesdays. Woops!

Baylie with Alexa
We went so Jalen could meet a new classmate named Cason.
Jalen beat me!
I let Baylie & Alexa play my second game.
David's nephew Cameron came for a visit with a buddy and we went hiking in Congaree Forest during a rainstorm. As always, it was a beautiful place to spend a day.
I thought these trees were really cool because one has a trunk that's completely black.
While on this bridge, they saw a huge copperhead down where David and I were so we hurried back up.
We also saw an alligator. Can you see it?
I called these two trees Romeo and Juliet.
I'm always fascinated by the moonshine still.

It was a lovely day.
And very few mosquitos.
Our last adventure pre-Utah trip was to take our tubes down the Saluda River.
Perfect day
Can you see the bird?
We purchased a membership to the park and look forward to spending a lot more time here.
