Spring is always lovely in South Carolina. I love our back yard. It's like a big park. We got a new riding mower. Sadly, it hasn't worked very well.
Spring is not as lovely in Utah.
We headed to Saluda Shoals park for some sunshine. We invited the Jalen's friend Kolton and the Alsups. My hat is excessively floppy.
The playground at Saluda is accessible for children with disabilities. It's pretty cool.
Another day, we grabbed the Alsups again and this time went strawberry picking - one of our favorite activities - and to Congaree National Park - one of our favorite places.
Later I made strawberry pie and jam.
I love spending time with these people.
There were little caterpillars everywhere.
Congaree is different every time we go, but always beautiful and fascinating. Can you see the humongous snake? For some reason, I find the moonshine still fascinating.
We had a great Easter and decorated eggs with the Elders.
Elder Salisbury is a ham
I don't think David finished last this time!
We recently found out Elder Clawson is 1/4 Navajo! We shared some common experiences.
I love looking at the finished eggs. Fortunately, I also like eating them.
We love the Magic Egg spinner.
We also did some eggs with rice and food coloring. The rest were just vinegar and food coloring.
Jalen still plants jelly beans every Easter so that the next morning he has a lollipop. He reminds us if we forget.
The kids got up early to hunt for eggs. They made a bit of a haul.Apparently I neglected to get any pictures of Easter dinner or of our family on Sunday. We always study the final week of the life of Christ during Easter week. I hope my children remember those things as much as the egg decorating and hunting.
