South Carolina State Fair 2023

For another co-op, we checked the public school kids out early and headed to the state fair. It was the $5 day, which made it a lot cheaper than normal. Plus we went during the day so the rides weren't open.

The fairgrounds are right next to USC's William Brice Stadium.
We got there a few minutes before the Baileys.
The sand sculpture is always a favorite.
I love seeing the displays of local produce and honey.
That's a big melon!
And an even bigger pumpkin!
The livestock is another favorite.
Sooo much unhealthy food!
Fortunately, I brought my own snacks. (I had to fill out a medical form in advance.)
Later in the day we were joined by the Choreys.
Carolyn, Olivia, Allee, Kaitlyn, Rachel, Caroline
Mary, Baylie, Carolyn, Rachel, Kaitlyn, Natalie, Caroline, Beth, Allee, Olivia
The handicrafts were wonderful. This was a Lego display of the fair.
Check out these cakes!
The woodwork was beautiful.
Gnome cupcakes
Sister Duff from our ward had several things entered.
Baylie's favorite thing is the honey sticks. She loves all the flavors.
This kid grabbed a book and started his own story time. It was great.
Hands down, my favorite thing at the fair is the pig races. (Gideon agrees.)

It was a great day at the fair!
