Cameron Batchelor's Promotion

On July 31, our nephew Cameron (on the Batchelor side) was promoted from Warrant Officer One to Warrant Officer Two. We were so pleased that he invited us to attend. 

His mom, Jennifer, and his wife, Danielle, pinned the new insignia on him.

It was a really nice ceremony and we were so excited to be there. I helped take care of their new baby Levi while David entertained their 2-year-old Owen.

Afterwards, we drove about an hour away to eat dinner at a restaurant owned by a friend of Cameron's. It was known for having different kinds of hard cider (obviously we didn't have any).

Our rental car was snazzy.

We flew up and back the same day. It made for a really long day, but we were so glad to be there. Cameron and his mom are the people we are closest to on David's side of the family.

David got the infamous windowless window seat.
